Medical Assistant

Cormendi Health is offering a unique opportunity for a holistically minded medical assistant to work in our growing, independent Integrative Medicine practice. We are looking for someone who is kind, compassionate and enjoys helping others. Our ideal candidate is able to work well both independently and as part of a team and possesses strong written and oral communication skills while delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications:

- Dependable, responsible, motivated and works well with others

- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and interact with others

- Handle any and all patient information with the utmost compliance to HIPAA regulations

- Passion for the medical field

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detail

- Empathy & Compassion

- Successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program.

- Certification as a Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Scheduling patient appointments
- Triaging appointments
- Ordering labs and diagnostic imaging
- Ordering and refilling prescriptions
- Answering patient phone calls and incoming messages through the patient portal
- Complete Prior Authorizations for medications and medical services
- Perform other duties as assigned

Pay: $44,000.00 - $46,000.00 per year
