CORIX INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES US INC is Hiring an Asset Manager Near Cleveland, OH

The Corix team has an opportunity for an Asset Manager in Cleveland, OH. This position is located on site at our Cleveland Thermal Facility.

The Asset Manager is responsible for developing and coordinating the programs necessary to manage the utility assets in the District Energy systems. This includes the development and execution of an overall asset management plan, individual project plans, general business analysis, regulatory support and other project management responsibilities related to the operation of the utilities.


Major Accountabilities:

  • Develops the overall asset management plan and the tools required for implementation and execution.
  • Develops and maintains other plans required for compliance with all internal and external rules and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, equipment selection, design, construction and commissioning.
  • Provides general project oversight to ensure capital projects are delivered on time and on budget.


General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop, implement, and refine the Corix asset management program to control and maintain physical assets, including property, plant, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Design and implement systems for condition assessment inspections and monitoring, failure curve development for critical assets, determination of equipment useful life, damage assessments, and root cause investigations.
  • Develop methodologies for tracking asset lifecycle, critical spares, inventory, locations, and costs. Oversee the annual and long term planning and budgeting processes for asset acquisition, replacement, and disposal in collaboration with the Finance and Regulatory Affairs teams.
  • Lead, coordinate, advise and contribute to the continuous advancement of the Corix asset management program. As the asset management lead, work with staff from various departments to ensure assets are managed consistently within the corporate strategic asset management framework and industry standards.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination activities to develop and maintain an accurate and complete asset information database and maintenance program within our Operations Management System (OMS), Lucity.
  • Anticipate and assess potential operational, regulatory, legal and other challenges that may arise and develop plans and resolutions in response and prevent such issues and risks.
  • Ensures the success of projects, while remaining in line with time and budget parameters.
  • Frequent independent travel to and from worksites on Company time.
  • Work with regulators to gain input and potential approvals related to projects.
  • Attends project team status meetings as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Required: MS Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to learn internal software programs
  • Preferred: PowerPoint and Explorer.
  • Ability to complete work that will ensure the approval of all projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to keep accurate records and prepare and submit accurate reports.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills, including negotiating, decision-making, research and analysis, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public.
  • Ability to understand and implement a variety of operational concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Experience with GIS mapping, particularly ESRI, is an asset.
  • Experience using Lucity by CentralSquare is an asset.

Education & Experience:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or similar field.
  • Preferred: MS or MBA
  • Required: Must maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years engineering/operations experience, preferably related to district energy utility projects and design.
