Coria Landscape - COLORS NW INC is Hiring a Nursery Manager Near Salem, OR

We are actively seeking a highly organized and motivated Nursery Manager to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our nursery and play a crucial role in its success. This position presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our nursery while gaining valuable experience in horticulture management.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provide leadership and guidance to the nursery staff, ensuring effective team management.

2. Oversee plant care, cultivation, and maintenance activities to uphold the highest quality standards.

3. Manage inventory, including plant stock, nursery supplies, and equipment, to ensure optimal levels and timely replenishment.

4. Develop and implement efficient nursery processes to enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.

5. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of nursery-related materials and supplies.

6. Supervise the scheduling and execution of planting, pruning, and other horticultural tasks.

7. Monitor and maintain plant health, addressing issues such as pest control and disease management.

8. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote nursery products and services.

9. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including safety protocols.

10. Handle customer inquiries, provide expert advice, and contribute to customer satisfaction.

11. Prepare and manage budgets, tracking expenses, and optimizing resource utilization.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a relevant degree is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of landscape construction terminology and processes is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in administrative or office support roles is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Word: 1 year (Preferred)
