Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and inspections on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. Your expertise in automotive repair and your ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems
-Mobile Road Service calls
- Use power tools and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve problems
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in troubleshooting electrical issues
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential problems or safety concerns
- Assemble, disassemble, and rebuild components as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and inspections performed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, systems, and components
- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting schematics
- Ability to work with tractor-trailers, heavy-duty trucks, and other diesel-powered equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with air brake systems is preferred
- Basic soldering skills are a plus
