CORESTAFF Services is Hiring a Project Manager Near Folsom, CA

**Our Client is committed to the health, safety, and work/life integration of its employees, and is proud to offer flexible work arrangements. This position would be eligible to participate in a remote work capacity, but requires the ability to commute in as needed and your own equipment to perform your duties when working from home**

Contract Length: until year end 2024

The Metering/Telemetry Project Manager will support the Energy Data Acquisition Specialists with project prioritization, task management, and customer relations. Provide project support on activities related to the configuration, testing and implementation of revenue and telemetry metering equipment and processes. Interfaces with market participants (Generator owners, developers, third party engineering companies, Utility representatives, etc.) regarding development and/or modifications of power generation for the markets.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Provides external customer support for projects including answering questions related to project status and overall metering and telemetry requirements.
  • Provides project management support to Energy Data Acquisition Specialist by prioritizing project tasks and external appointments.
  • Learns to support of Full Network Model (FNM) Builds including deliverables affiliated with telemetry (Database Builds) and revenue metering (Certificate of Compliance) outlined within the New Resource Implementation (NRI) process to ensure commercial operation dates are met according to projected timelines.
  • Learns to provide guidance and training to various internal and external customers including entities such as Authorized Inspectors, Meter Inspection Companies etc. related to matters involving the collection and processing of telemetry and revenue metering.
  • Creation and maintenance of related documented business processes (internal & external), along with supporting desktop procedures to ensure consistent practices are maintained according to standards captured within the tariff and BPM's.

Qualifications

Level of Education and Discipline:

  • A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent education, training, or experience in Engineering, Business or related field.

Amount of Experience:

  • Equivalent years of education and training, plus two (2) or more years related experience.

Type of Experience:

  • Experience working on projects with multi-departmental processes.
  • Experience working in customer service.
  • Experience in the energy or electric utility industry, and knowledge of resource modeling, plant data communications, and related State and Federal regulations is desired
  • Experience with software tools/applications such as TOAD and SQL is desired
  • Experience with the installation and/or programming of revenue grade meters used in the collection and calculation of meter data is desired
  • Experience establishing metering solutions and applications associated with the collection of meter data is desirable.

  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills required, with a demonstrated attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are also essential
  • Ability to use deductive reasoning and analytical thinking with sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Must be self-starting and willing and able to work independently in a dynamic corporate organization under pressure of tight deadlines and aggressive expectations
  • Problem solving skills with the ability to influence others without direct authority
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment as facilitator and team member
  • Proficiency in MS Office (including Excel, Access, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, VBA) and relational databases is required. Ability to understand and maintain SQL scripts or similar software code and algorithms, including code written by others is desirable. Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical persons. Effective negotiation skills. Demonstrates self-direction and self-motivation meeting self-imposed deadlines requiring minimal managerial guidance
  • Knowledgeable of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software and Telemetry technology desirable
  • Understanding of different types of generators, how they participate in the market, and their system impact desirable
