CoreLife is Hiring a Referral Specialist Near Winston, NC

Position Overview:

The role of the Patient Navigator is an extremely vital role within the CoreLife family. The Patient Navigator provides an overview and education to referred patients about the services and programs that CoreLife offers. In the initial outreach to potential CoreLife patients, you will be providing information on our program as well as assisting new patients with the insurance verification process and answering any questions that they may have about CoreLife and their patient experience. You are the first point of contact that any prospective patient will have with CoreLife. Your attitude, tone of voice, and overall demeanor are vital to the success of our prospect patients.

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective patients. 
  • Upon contacting a prospective patient, probe to understand patient needs and have the ability to identify opportunities to pair those needs with CoreLife services.
  • Schedule prospective patients with appropriate office based on their location/needs. 
  • Handing many inbound and outbound calls to and from patients.
  • Verify all new patient’s insurance coverage from: eligibility, coverage, authorization, and referrals.
  • Assist in educating patients on their benefits information.
  • Ensure all demographic, insurance, and other applicable information is entered accurately into the patient’s profile.
  • Engage and motivate prospective patients to complete their initial appointment and begin their journey in the CoreLife program.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required) 
  •  Associates Degree (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)

Salary:

$17.00 - $19.00/hour

  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish productive working relationships with multidisciplinary team and support services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to patients.
  • Ability to counsel and motivate others, as individuals and as a group.
  • General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, spreadsheet, and professional presentation software.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in medical protocols and policy.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional customer service contact center environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
