The Director, Supplier Relationship Management works closely with internal stakeholders to identify and qualify new sources of supplies and services and to develop those businesses as competitive, quality suppliers to CoreCivic.Develops high level, best practice Supplier Performance Management strategies and outlines realistic achievable and progressive goals and objectives for long-term sustainable supplier partnerships.Drives procurement compliance with customer/agency contractual requirements by proactively creating positive synergies between internal customers, supply management staff and suppliers to achieve common goals.

  • Serves as primary point of contact for supplier engagement, fostering sustainable partnerships by mitigating risks through the facilitation of a supplier qualification process, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) technology and needs assessment.
  • Facilitates the development of relationships with suppliers and maintains relationships post contract through the facilitation of monthly, quarterly or semi-annual business reviews.
  • Establishes supplier performance targets, SLAs/KPIs, including vendor sustainability metrics (e.g., environmental, social, and governance), and develops remediation program.Collaborates with supply management team to develop metrics for performance improvement.
  • Develops and maintains supplier relationship value, including tracking and analysis of supplier spend, partnership, impact and performance.
  • Directs the efforts of staff to identify and qualify regional and local small diverse vendors. Works to assure solicitations for products and services are inclusive and equitable.Reviews and approves Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) spend responses to partner solicitations prior to management review for final approval.
  • Develops and publishes solicitations of all types including, but not limited to: requests for information, proposals, reverse auctions, and sealed bids to help ensure competitive pricing and high quality of goods and services procured. Analyzes responses to same and presents recommendations to management. Provides education, analytics, and RFx project management support to internal partners.
  • Visits vendor manufacturing and distribution facilities to perform a site analysis and prepare a vendor scorecard relative to capabilities and abilities.Evaluates quality measurement practices and principles such as six sigma in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Works with Legal and IT staff, as appropriate, to negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, and modifications to agreements for the intended purpose and with assurances to protect CoreCivic's interests and minimize risk relative to the procurement of products and services sourced.
  • Acts as contract monitor for existing agreements.Reviews, analyzes, monitors and reports supplier contract performance and compliance.
  • Works with supply management team in developing responses to agency customers’ request for proposals relative to specified supply product requirements.
  • Works with management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to identify reporting and compliance tools required to support on-going supplier engagement and supplier value.
  • Provides regular business and market insight to internal stakeholders, supply management team, and others.
  • Benchmarks progress toward achieving specific goals and reports results to management as required by contract.
  • Supervises and mentors direct reports, conducts performance reviews and develops individual development plans.
  • Domestic travel may be required.
