CoreBioLabs is Hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Near Mentor, OH

Who We Are:
CoreBioLabs is a CAP accredited, CLIA certified, High Complexity reference laboratory specializing in cancer diagnosis. Our goal is to develop and provide innovative diagnostic tools to improve physician’s capabilities through our urine cytology, molecular and pharmacogenetic testing. Our primary focus is the creation of innovative screening tests that can detect cancers and cancer precursors at their earliest stages, which correlates to less invasive treatments and cures, while decreasing mortality rates.
Job Summary:
The MLT will work in the microbiology lab follow procedures, prepare samples for culture and maintain laboratory equipment. The MLT will also be responsible for quality control and data analysis. 
Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
  • Processes, and handles blood, Urine and/or other biological specimens according to established procedures.
  • Adhere strictly to safety procedures
  • Micro Lab : Set up cultures, Set up AST and isolates/identifies specimen suitable for testing on BD Instrument.
  • Follow SOP, quality control and HIPPA procedures to perform job duties.
  • Perform proficiency test and take corrective action when needed.
Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):
  • 2-5 years experience in plate readying in all areas
  • Good working knowledge of fastidious organisms
  • Experience with biochemical testing for microbes
  • Experience in laboratory medicine and quality control
  • Good working knowledge of Phoenix epicenter
  • Knowledge of BD M50 and its maintenance
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Associate of Arts degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related field
  • ASCP or AMT certification
  • experience with microbiology techniques is preferred
