Summary Of PositionAs the Civil Engineering Manager you will lead the Core States Construction Service Civil Engineering team and report directly to the Vice President. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all activities, projects and personnel within the team, while promoting collaboration and synergies across Core States Group.

Responsibilities
- Act as civil engineer of record for all projects within the Energy division ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage multiple programs across various clients, balancing priorities and resources to deliver results that meet Company and customer expectations.
- Oversee project timelines, proactively addressing any delays or obstacles, and providing regular updates to clients to maintain clear communication channels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate engineering services seamlessly into various projects and initiatives.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and clients, fostering strong relationships.
- Prepare budgets, proposal language and technical requirements with clients and sub-consultants.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Department to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Convey personnel needs to Vice President and Human Resources, actively participate in the recruitment, interviewing and selection of prospective candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant field of study
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, ability to obtain additional states required
- 10 years in civil engineering within an engineering or construction firm
- Proven track record of successful project management and client relationship management
- Prior experience and a willingness to be hands-on direct contributor while leading the Engineering function, serving as the subject matter expert
- Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
- AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
Work Location:This is a hybrid role that can sit out of our Ontario, CA office.
