Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Core Medical Center

Job Overview:
Core Medical Center is seeking a dedicated, outgoing, and organized Medical Assistant who is passionate about assisting patients on their journey to a pain-free life. This role is crucial in supporting our nurse practitioners during procedures, conducting allergy testing and serum mixing, managing IMpact testing for concussions, Brainview EEGs, and more. You will play a key role in preparing rooms, performing spirometry tests, EKG/ECG, physical preparations, drug testing, filling injections, and overseeing inventory and in-office dispensing pharmacy operations. This position involves shared responsibilities within a collaborative team environment, aiming to assist lead providers efficiently in injection procedures, vitals recording, documentation, prescription management, MRI referrals, and supply ordering.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in a variety of medical procedures alongside nurse practitioners.
  • Conduct allergy testing and serum mixing.
  • Administer IMpact testing for concussion assessment and Brainview EEGs.
  • Prepare rooms and run spirometry tests, EKG/ECG.
  • Assist with physical exams, drug testing, and filling injections.
  • Manage inventory, place supply orders, and assist with documentation.
  • Engage with patients directly, scheduling appointments and promoting in-office services.
  • Support the in-office dispensing pharmacy.

Qualifications:

  • Required certification: CNA, Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Passion for patient care and motivation to contribute to a team.
  • Ability to learn quickly and perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in medical procedures, documentation, and patient care preferred.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and office software.

Benefits:

  • Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.
  • Health insurance offered after 90 days.
  • Simple IRA with a 3% match after one year of employment.

Schedule:

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9 AM - 7 PM
  • Tuesday, Friday: 9 AM - 2 PM
