We're currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Yard Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the smooth functioning of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of equipment upon arrival to guarantee the integrity of cargo post-shipment.
• Utilize steam guns and mart washers to meticulously clean, inspect, and wash components such as large engines, motors, and mechanical equipment, preparing them for repair in the shop.
• Safely transport components from yards to shops using forklifts and cranes, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
• Perform necessary painting tasks on components.
• Accurately complete component checkout sheets, inspection reports, and timecards.
• Test incoming electrical components to ensure functionality.
• Document incoming and outgoing components by capturing initial and final photos of rebuilds and maintaining comprehensive pre and post logs.
• Prepare and package components meticulously for shipping and storage, including labeling, tagging, palletizing, shrink wrapping, and staging.
• Assist in component disassembly, utilizing deductive skills and mechanical aptitude to identify and address faults and issues.
• Document identified issues during disassembly and teardown processes thoroughly.
• Aid in creating detailed parts lists for rebuilds and salvage pieces for customer cost reduction or re-use stock.
• Submit detailed rebuild reports to the project foreman to facilitate customer quotes.
• Prepare reusable parts for rebuilds, including additional cleaning, buffing, scraping gaskets, media blasting, and grinding as necessary.
• Properly wrap and store engines awaiting approval for rebuild or in work-in-progress status.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of teardown areas, ensuring tools are promptly returned to designated storage at the end of each day.
• Uphold a clean and organized workspace throughout the teardown process.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in forklift operation; certification provided if no prior experience.
• Ability to operate cranes; training available for candidates without prior experience.
• Familiarity with overhead crane operation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to assist in component disassembly and assessment.
• Computer literacy for documentation and reporting purposes.
