The Ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager Role:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Management experience
- CPA preferred but no required
- Experience in QuickBooks Desktop an Online
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel
- Someone who can manage, review, guide, and coach accounting and bookkeeping staff and clients
- Ability to work with multiple clients/projects and manage deadlines simultaneously
- CPA nice to have
Expectations of the Accounting Manager Role:
- Managing the accounting staff responsible for G/L updates and maintenance, AP and AR management, month end reconciliations, etc.
- Training new staff
- Preparing month end adjusting journal entries
- Monthly financial statement preparation and distribution
- Financial statement review and analysis (budget vs actuals, prior year comparisons, trends, etc.)
- Presenting clients with feedback and recommendations
- Cash flow forecasting and budgeting
- Audit assistance and other special projects as needed
