Core Consulting is Hiring a Start Up - Commissioning Technician (20114) Near Oconomowoc, WI
Under the supervision of the Technical Support & Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician ensures that all built equipment meets or exceeds the design specifications to company quality standards and customer needs. This will be an 'in-house' role with very limited travel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits.
Confirm blueprint and bill of materials meet the latest estimate revision and customer acknowledgement.
Check finished equipment for paint quality, welding quality, dimensions, fit, finish and appearance.
Perform tests including burner sizing and operation, e-stops, safety interlocks and alarms according to Quality Assurance pre-ship punch list and oven safety check-off sheet.
Route product for rework.
Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, Quality Assurance pre-ship punch list and store in the proper folders.
Release equipment for painting when all punch list items have been verified, completed and approved
Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards.
Communicate with Manufacturing Team Leads, Engineering and Operations Manager noted deviations of tolerances of quality.
Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
Assists Materials Coordinator with incoming materials inspection.
Remain technically competent and keep current in new developments within the industry.
Participate on cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality issues and ensure the continuous, ongoing improvement of processes and methods.
Responsible for facility cleanliness and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
Follow, comply and enforce all safety and work related rules, regulations and policies. Make recommendations regarding safe working methods.
Promptly respond to inquiries to support individual, team and company success.
Provide back-up for other positions in the department as assigned.
Perform various duties as requested by management.
Skills and Qualifications
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents such as customer and industry specifications, codes and standards, engineering drawings, blueprints, routings, work orders, engineering specifications and regulations and procedure manuals.
Must be able to effectively write routine reports and documentation.
Proficient with basic software and smartphone technology including email, internet, and calendaring applications and able to functionally use emerging technologies to support business needs.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerances, proportions, and percentages.
Understanding of industrial controls and electrical schematics.
