Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

Our client is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Procurement Specialist to support company-wide procurement of goods and services in support of commercial and federal client contracts and corporate needs. They are a leading provider of environmental and social good consulting services globally. The Procurement Specialist will report directly to the Procurement Manager and provide support for a variety of procurement related initiatives across the company. This individual will support all aspects of the procurement cycle and specific tasks as directed by the Procurement Manager. Additionally, this person will collaborate with contracts staff, project teams, business development personnel, and other functional areas across the enterprise to apply client processes and procedures to support day-to-day procurement support requests, as well as longer term strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the company receives the best possible combination of price, service, delivery and risk management
  • Preparation and issuance of solicitations to support supplier support requirements, including products and services supporting client contracts
  • Lead negotiations of price, delivery and terms and conditions for supplier and subcontract agreements
  • Perform price analysis techniques as appropriate
  • Serve as a proactive and solution-oriented subject matter expert for all procurement activities
  • Perform daily subcontract and supplier management activities, including oversight of quality and on time deliverables
  • Management and compliance of the Supplier Diversity Program
  • Ensure compliance with the requirements of the client's federally approved purchasing system and support the Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR)
  • Ensure compliance with the procurement related requirements of their ISO 9001 program
  • Management of Costpoint Purchasing System, related processes and procedures, including issuance of purchase orders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Must be a self-starter, enthusiastic, organized, detail-oriented, demonstrate strong time-management skills, and be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationships with peers, vendors and customers, and contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, teamwork and a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with federal contractor procurements
  • Familiarity with FAR regulations and how they relate to the procurement of goods and services in support of federal prime contracts
  • Experience operating within a Government-Approved Purchasing System
