Title: SOX IT Controls Tester
Location: Remote
Duration: June (transition and training), July to January (full speed)
Hourly Rate: Market
This specialized role requires a CPA and/or CISA certification with 10 years of experience in testing SOX IT controls, preferably within a large CPA firm conducting SOX audits. Audit Manager experience would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and scope annual SOX IT controls test plan for client approval.
• Design and approve control tests with/for client’s testing staff.
• Participate in selected control walkthroughs to provide subject matter expertise.
• Review and approve completed control tests.
• Aggregate and report test results.
Requirements:
• CPA and/or CISA certification.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in testing SOX IT controls.
• Experience in Audit Manager role preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
Duration and Schedule:
The role is part-time, requiring approximately 10 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional meetings during the Monday-Friday business week between 11 am and 6 pm EST. For the 2024 testing cycle, the resource is needed for approximately 300 hours from July to January.
