Our client is a high growth medical device company based in Charlottesville, VA who is looking to hire their first Controller to build out the accounting function. Ideally they are looking to hire an experienced Controller who has worked at an early stage or high-growth middle market company. This role will report to the President of the company, interface with senior leadership, BOD and fractional CFO. This role will build out monthly financial reporting, management reporting, oversee technical accounting, internal controls and financial systems. This is an excellent career growth opportunity with equity upside. Client willing to pay relocation for candidates. 

Position Requirements: 

Oversee small accounting team and manage day-to-day accounting operations 

Produce monthly financial statements and management reporting package for senior leadership 

Oversee relevant technical accounting issues and implement as necessary 

Develop and oversee internal accounting controls

Responsible for overseeing financial systems and related reporting tools 

Interface with external accounting firm

Oversee federal grants accounting and compliance

Position Requirements: 

BS-Accounting, CPA preferred 

Must have 10 both public and corporate accounting

Must have 3 years supervisory experience 

Experience implementing financial systems
