CORAS Wellness and Behavioral Health & IRON... is Hiring a MATI Bus Driver Near Trenton, NJ

  • POSITION STATEMENT:

Drives the MATI program vehicle, with a state issues CDL driver’s license. Provides reliable and courteous transportation services. Coordinates with Nursing and Security regarding vehicle locations. Provides a communication link between clients and staff. Operates and maintain assigned vehicle(s) and client transportation records.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS:
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets, customer transportation forms, vehicle maintenance, fuel purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management.
  • Computer skills are needed for this position such as but not limited to E-mail, accessing the company web page, and generating reports on the computer.
  • Responds immediately to accident or medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers, and rendering First Aid until emergency personnel arrive.
  • Assists clients in and out of the vehicle, as needed.
  • Demonstrates an ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
  • Reads and interprets maps, road signs, and driving directions.
  • Attends scheduled agency and transportation meetings.
  • Strictly observes professional ethics and all confidentiality requirements as required by law, agency, and program policy.
  • Maintains defensive driving. Operates assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner in accordance to Motor Vehicle’s regulations and New Jersey State laws.
  • Transports supplies and donations as needed.
  • Completes Agency’s Annual Education and Safety Program as required.
  • Performs other duties and assignments as requested.
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduation with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • New Jersey Commercial Driver’s License.
  • An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
