CORA Services is Hiring an Assistant Teacher Pre-K Counts Near Philadelphia, PA

CORA Services is currently searching for an Assistant Teacher - Pre-K Counts to work at its Early Childhood Center in Olde Richmond

Assistant Teacher Work Schedule: Monday Friday 8AM - 4PM

Assistant Teacher Pre-K Counts Rates start at $17.00/hour AA required

$500 sign on bonus ($250 upon hire and $250 after 4 months)

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing educational lesson plans based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards, in conjunction with the OCDEL-approved curriculum.
  • Participate in individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Adhere to schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy learning environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
  • Help to monitor growth and development of children based on established learning objectives using age-appropriate assessment tools.
  • Establish positive relationships with parents and maintain frequent communication about student's growth and progress through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the Early Years program.

Assistant Teacher Qualifications:

  • AA in Early Childhood Education or related field of study required.
  • Minimum of two years documented experience working with an early childhood population.
  • Experience working with Pre-K Counts/PHL Pre-K a plus!
  • Passion and skill for working with children.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Understanding of child development.
  • Familiarity with Keystone STARS standards and DHS regulations preferred.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification.
