Position Overview-

The Tasting Room Supervisor will oversee sales and service to customers in our retail location, providing exceptional customer service. This role will supervise a team of retail sales associates in two locations: Holland and Saugatuck. Primary responsibilities include staff, inventory, and sales supervision. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and ensuring quality customer experiences. Come join a fun and energetic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities-

• Manage two storefronts including inventory, staff, and merchandise oversight; and keep senior management informed of any pertinent information.

• Assist in creation of batch cocktails and ensuring proper lead times to order.

• Act as front-line supervisor including greeting guests, providing tasters of our products, and selling products.

• Resolve any customer needs or complaints.

• Keep both retail locations clean and in proper working order by assessing needs and submitting requests for any equipment or storefront issues.

• Supervise the retail team, including coaching, training, hiring, and disciplining the team.

• Understand the normal retail sales process; set weekly sales goals.

• Perform, and train team to perform, opening and closing duties as outlined.

• Create weekly employee schedule and approve time in the system.

• Review inventory levels to proactively manage stock levels.

• Order anticipated and unexpected product needs from distillery.

• Review merchandise stock levels and reorder merchandise as needed.

• Train retail sales associates to understand products, distillation process, customer service expectations and sales techniques.

• Ensure EVERY guest provides identification and associates follow all policies.

• Follow safe cash handling practices including use of safe and nightly bank drop.

• Lead events including tours, cocktail classes, and book private parties to bring in addition revenue. Generate more company and the employee.

• Share your knowledge of Craft Co. products and the alcohol industry to employees and customers.

Qualifications and Experience-

• Previous retail or customer service experience required; previous retail supervision experience preferred;

• Able to balance multiple priorities and keep calm under pressure;

• People leader;

• Comfortable delegating responsibilities and resolving any conflict;

• Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekend;

• Willing to work on the front-line but take time to ensure high level priorities are met;

• Organized and detail oriented;

• Fun and energetic personality;

• Natural salesperson who is customer service oriented;

• Enjoy learning new things;

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills;

• Passion for learning more about spirits.
