Reports to: Counselor/Principal Date Revised: 5/10/2019Advise students and provide guidance in development and completion of each student’s personal graduation plan (PGP).
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Associates Degree
* Only a counselor or an administrator may develop personal graduation plans at the high school level. In addition to a counselor or administrator, a teacher or other appropriate individual may develop the plan at the junior high or middle school level. [TEC §28.0212 and §28.02121]
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of career development
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Ability to present information in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations to students, parents, and district staff
Experience:
Two years educational experience
