Ensuring Excellence, One Inspection at a Time, Join Our Team as a Quality Testing Inspector.

Copper State Bolt & Nut Company is seeking a Testing Quality Inspector to join our Manufacturing Team. As the Inspector this position performs testing, inspection and audit activities to ensure that product produced meets applicable industry standards or specifications. Process Inspector will work at the inspection desk checking parts as they are being made. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, organized, experienced in a fast-paced environment and has confident decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect product ensuring compliance.
  • Work closely with machinist, inspecting and shutting down process if applicable when product has not met compliance.
  • Use of gages calipers, inspection equipment, scales, visual inspection or other equipment/devices to perform inspection functions.
  • Document all tests performed and results as applicable.
  • Communicate machine continuation and/or setup adjustments.
  • Follow guidelines.
  • Participate in external audits of system.
  • Updating procedures
  • Ensure safety regulations are met.
  • Calibration and proper use of equipment is maintained.
  • Making sure machinery/equipment is properly set up.
  • Ensure proper training for operators.
  • Lot integrity and traceability maintained.
  • Proper records and appropriate reporting maintained.
  • Recognition and reporting of safety hazards
  • Report failures and/or quality issues

Skills

  • Familiarity with calipers and gages
  • Ability to use a computer for documentation of results.
  • Manufacturing quality control experience a plus

Safety:

  • Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe manner using applicable safety equipment.
  • Regularly review the equipment or machinery in use to ensure that safety mechanisms or other safety features are working properly.
  • Report safety hazards to supervisors or other managers immediately.

Decision/Information Sharing and Communication

  • Must take initiative and be available to work where needed
  • Must be able to comprehend and follow visual, written, and oral instructions
  • Must communicate and work well with all other employees in the facility

Physical requirements

  • This position typically requires that the employee lift heavy boxes, products, or other items, up to or more than 50 lbs.
  • This position will require that the employee stand for virtually their entire shift (8 or more hours) in a noisy environment

2nd, M - F, 11am - 7pm
