COHO Consulting Group is seeking a Penetration Tester to join our team in support of a new contract at the Department Intelligence Agency. This position will be onsite in either Washington DC or Reston, VA. The Penetration Tester will evaluate findings and perform root cause analysis to identify weaknesses, misconfigurations, or other flaws in the environment that could lead to security compromises.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Perform penetration testing to assess and identify security vulnerabilities of networks, applications, and systems. 
• Conducts manual and automated penetration tests including black-box, gray-box, and white-box.
• Documents testing results and presents suggestions for the development of countermeasures, security improvements, and mitigation strategies.
• Utilizes a variety of assessment tools, such as Nmap, BurpSuite, Kali Linux and scripting languages like Bash, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
• Stays up to date with the latest security threats, techniques, and tools to continuously improve penetration testing methodologies

Requirements:

• Clearance:
  • TS with SCI Eligibility

• Education:
  • Bachelors degree or prior, relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • One of the following certifications: 
    • Netscout
    • Corelight
    • Gigamon
    • Infoblox
    • RedHat
    • VMWare 
    • Splunk

• Experience:
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience
  • Familiar with red team testing protocols and cybersecurity frameworks like OWASP, OSSTMM and PTES
• Preferred Skills:
  • One of the following certifications:
    • GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN)
    • GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT)
    • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certificate
    • SANS/ GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN)
