Description

Tiger Precision Products is seeking a talented and motivated individual for the role of Quality Engineer to support our growing machine shop. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, detail-oriented, holds high professional rigor, and has a thorough understanding of the industry including materials, processes, lean manufacturing, quality, and testing. The ideal candidate excels at multi-tasking, task management, management of ambiguity, is a lifelong learner who strives to continuously improve themselves.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop inspection plans for machined parts
• Support overall quality inspection for machined parts to include dimensional and visual inspection techniques
• Ability to use CMM and hand tools to inspect parts
• Document quality inspection results
• Interprets GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards
• Applies knowledge of drawing standards including ASME Y14.100
• Incoming inspection of end item materials, hardware, and tooling
• Inspection of production parts using FARO arm / Laser Line Scanner
• Work with Engineering team on process development and improvement
• Support the Operations team on process stability
• Ability to interface with an MRP system
• Applies theoretical knowledge of quality standards to solve complex problems.

• Minimum of two years of related work experience
• The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to program inspection programs
• Experience with performing AS9102 First Article Inspections
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics MRP/ERP system
• Lean manufacturing certification
• Ten years of related work experience
• Experience in engineering for DOD customers/services
• Experience in a machine shop
• Experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing
• Experience in AS9100 or NADCAP environment

This position works in a composite manufacturing and machine shop environment with moving mechanical equipment and machinery. Occasionally, with contact with potentially hazardous chemicals or materials. All employees are expected to follow the company’s rigorous safety and personal protective equipment procedures.
