Job Title Process Engineer - Plasma Coatings As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of the production processes including grit blasting, cleaning, coating, polishing, and CO2 for several production lines including solving process issues, ensuring quality, cost and efficiency goals. You will be in charge of process optimization and upgrades. Job Description Roles & Responsibilities: Complete assigned tasks efficiently under limited supervision conferring with supervisor on complex matters, specific assignment objectives, points of emphasis, reference and information sources, or possible solutions as needed. Investigate and troubleshoot process issues. Ensure that equipment works to its specification and to appropriate capacities. Oversee manufacturing processes and effectively utilizes Process Control System tools (i.e. control charts, PCI, OEE, DOE’s, etc.) to maintain and improve product and process quality. Increase process efficiency by implementing/applying Lean, TOC, Six Sigma or other TQM process improvement methodologies. Design, install, maintain, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment to improve efficiency and utilization of resources. Create and maintain process documentation, operating instructions, and P&IDs. Develop best practices to maintain and improve the process. Lead projects to improve workforce productivity, equipment utilization, yield and cycle time improvements. Understand and provide cost and manufacturing information to management. Identify and address safety and environmental concerns at earliest point. Program automated process equipment. Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering related engineering field. Experience: A minimum of 3 year of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Experience in Plasma Thermal spray or other physical material coating techniques desirable. Knowledge of statistical tools (control charts, Pareto, fishbone, DOE…) and Lean manufacturing techniques. Knowledge of InfinityQS a plus. ABB robotics experience nice to have. Experience in an automated engineering environment. Experience with RAPID programming a plus. Performs detail-oriented tasks utilizing advanced math skills and highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
