Job Description:As a Veterinary Assistant and Customer Care Representative, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures
• Providing compassionate care and handling of animals, ensuring their comfort and safety
• Administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of examination rooms, surgical suites, and equipment
• Communicating effectively with pet owners, providing information and answering questions about procedures, medications, and general pet care
• Assisting with laboratory procedures
• Providing customer service in the reception area
• Answering phones and making appointments

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred but not required
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong desire to provide quality patient care
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures and driven to make a difference
• Flexibility to work at either of our locations.
• Have strong customer service skills
• Physically able to lift up to 50lbs, stand on feet for long periods of time, keep control of exuberant dogs and cats (and humans ;-)
• Detail oriented
• Will have an upbeat, friendly, and professional attitude
• Can work individually, as well as on a team
• Excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and working harmoniously with team mates is required.
