Job Overview:The Warehouse Worker will support manufacturing operations by maintaining parts inventories, delivering material to areas within the shop, and maintaining stock documentation / shortage reports as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:In the role of a Warehouse Worker, you will: Count, weigh, and record number of units of material moved or handled on daily productionAttach identifying tags or labels to materials / containersLoad products onto freight carrier vehiclesLift heavy objects using forklift, crane, hoist, or by hand within acceptable weight limitationsPull parts to maintain inventory in assembly cellsMaintain cycle counts as requested by supervisorLocate material and expedite part shortages within the plantVerify and maintain stock documentation and shortage reportsUse small hand tools and operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, skids, pallet handlers, cranes, and hand trucksPerform any other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerQualifications/RequirementsHigh School Diploma / GED from accredited school or institutionMinimum 3 year of experience in a manufacturing environment Customer-focused in defining quality and establishing prioritiesEligibility Requirements:Lift up to 45 lbs. on a regular basisWork in a manufacturing environment where noise, dust, and chemicals are presentUse safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear plugsPerform sedentary work with frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending, and other physical activities Desired CharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsExperience with Computer, Excel, Sap is a plusExperience operating a forklift, hand truck, and other equipment specific to duties in a shipping departmentSelf-MotivatedAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility and willingness to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimalsAbility and willingness to use a computer to look up information or enter in material / parts on a daily basis.Cooper Machinery Services is an equal opportunity employer and gives all qualified applicants consideration of employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
