The Department of Surgery at Cooper University Hospital is seeking to hire a full-time urologist who has completed an accredited fellowship in Endourology and whose primary focus is on the evaluation and management of common urologic conditions (general urology) and endourology. The successful candidate must hold an MD degree and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Urology. The position will be filled in a rank and series commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate must be experienced in general urology conditions with a special emphasis to include urinary stone disease, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH), and lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). An exemplary track record of patient care and an active interest in clinical research or education is preferred. There are opportunities for investigator-initiated research as well as basic and translational collaboration with scientists in the department of surgery. The candidate will work in the outpatient clinic setting performing patient evaluation and office-based procedures. Operating room privileges will be granted for surgical procedures based upon the candidate’s experience. The candidate must have recognized skills in the education of trainees, including but not limited to, Medical Students, Residents, and Fellows. All candidates must have or be able to obtain a New Jersey medical license. Applicants must meet all required qualifications by time of hire.
