Short Description

The Ops Excellence Specialist I is responsible for applying Lean, Six Sigma and Project Management methodologies to deploy strategic projects aimed at reducing variation and eliminating waste within the Patient Access and Experience pillar. This includes harnessing technology and other innovations to improve the health of those we serve focusing on exceptional patient/consumer experience and improved system performance.

The Specialist will plan, lead, and manage complex and value-added projects. He /she will use Lean, Six Sigma and Project Management techniques in partnership with project sponsors and process owners to achieve improvement goals for each assigned project. Projects involve stakeholders across the various functional and service areas in Cooper. For each project, the Specialist will develop project plans and timelines, while bringing together resources as needed. He /she will engage with technology partners and other internal stakeholders to evaluate and implement tools to standardize workflows, transform processes and progress from volume to value.

Experience Required

3-5 years required

Education Requirements

Bachelor's required, Masters preferred

Special Requirements

Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt Certification (e.g., ASQ or any other Accredited Professional or University program)Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential

Excellent problem solving skills

Meeting facilitation and project management skills are highly preferredProven Lean and Six Sigma experience preferredProject Management experience preferred
