Short DescriptionAssists the Registered Nurse in providing direct, indirect and non-patient care
responsibilities.
Responsible for the collection of laboratory specimens and performing EKG’s.
In addition, provides clerical support for the patient care unit.
Assume responsibilities for transcription, record keeping, and intra-departmental and interdepartmental communications.
Experience RequiredAcute Care experience preferred previous hospital/unit secretary experience.
Previous hospital unit secretary, medical office assistant or medical records experience required.
Additional unit-specific qualification may be required.
Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent required.
License/Certification RequirementsQualifications/Certifications
At least one of the above qualifications/certifications must be met for hire.
AHA Basic Life Support certification - required
State Certification and Unit Secretary Certification is desirable.
