GENERAL SUMMARY
Under general supervision, coordinates the development and implementation of the Emergency Management plans for Cooper Green Mercy Health Service Authority’s emergency preparedness and coordinated responses to disasters and other emergencies. Proficient understanding of CMS, JCAHO, and other federal/state regulatory requirements related to preparedness in an ambulatory environment; good knowledge of the network of emergency service providers and availability of local services; good knowledge of the principals and practices of public administration as they pertain to emergency planning; good knowledge of training techniques and procedures. Author plans to comply with regulatory requirements (e.g. Emergency Operations Plans, Communications Plans, Hazardous Material Mitigation Plans, and CDC required plans), train on the plans, exercise the plans, evaluate the plans with exercises and drills, and evaluate/modify plans based on after action findings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree with four (4) years of experience in Emergency Preparedness, Emergency Management. Equivalent work experience
may substitute for education requirement.
FEMA courses completed at a minimum: IS700, 800, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 235. Preference for FEMA IS- 520. Courses offered at
the Center for Domestic Preparedness will be considered. Any Awareness or Management and Planning level NTED courses should be
notated.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
The work location for this role is onsite.
