Job Type: Part Time; Commission based.
The Assistant Swim Pro will be responsible for leading swim instruction, technique and water safety for youth and adults at Cooper Fitness Center.
The Assistant Swim Pro's essential duties are:
•Offer private and semi-private lessons to youth ages 18 months and up, as well as adults.
•Lead weekly group swim classes for 3-5 year old's.
•Must provide exemplary customer service.
•Must be able to commit in weekly increments.
•Communicate daily with parents on the progress of their children.
•Assist Swim Professional with other aquatics-related duties as requested.
•Effectively communicate with children and parents to help participants progress and develop swim skills..
•Responsible for maintaining pool equipment
•Responsible for providing a safe, clean environment for swimmers.
•Ensure payments are acquired at time service is rendered.
•Attend departmental and company-wide meetings and events.
•Handle, communicate, and document any behavioral issues or medical instances.
•Participate in marketing promotions.
Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Must have knowledge of the basic strokes of swimming (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly)
•Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
•Must be 18 years or older.
•Previous swim instructor experience.
•WSI and Lifeguard certification preferred.
•Must be CPR/First Aid certified.
