Cooley Group is Hiring a Facilities Engineering Manager Near Lancaster, SC

Cooley Group is seeking a Facilities Engineering Manager for our Lancaster, SC manufacturing plant. As the Facilities Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for plant and machine maintenance in a manufacturing facility. You will also provide technical support and troubleshoot processes to keep a plant running efficiently. The Facilities Engineering Manager will also provide maintenance and electrical engineering support for production machinery, equipment, and physical plant. You will work closely with machine operators and the Maintenance team for feedback on the operations process and determine how to improve efficiency and avoid shutdowns.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage the plant maintenance program with special attention to failure analysis.
  • Develop and implement new procedures to improve productivity and quality.
  • Document processes to standardize plant operations.
  • Procuring necessary parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are followed.
  • Accurately maintain records and report on all equipment reliability issues and implement cost effective resolutions to maximize profitability.
  • Maintain PM program for all equipment.
  • Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Overseeing the upkeep and repair of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
  • Proven track with implementation of TPM programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all city and county codes.
  • Planning and executing capital improvement projects to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety.
  • Adhere to all practices, policies, and procedures according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical)
  • 8 years relevant manufacturing experience
  • Defect detection, gauge control, controls/programming experience preferred.
  • Experience with hazardous waste materials handling and disposal.
  • Involvement with complex problem-solving projects, from leading to participation.
  • Lean Principle experience.
  • Leadership experience with business teams, cross functional, and operation based.
  • Capable in planning and executing projects involved with new technologies.
