Full Job Description
Start time 5:30 am to 4pm (Monday – Friday)
The Production Supervisor is responsible for assistant Production Supervisor in all aspects of safety, quality, and production on his/her shift. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for the direct supervision and training of hourly employees on his/her shift. Provide support to the Production Manager to meet departmental goals that in the end meet customer demands.
Provide teams with direction, priorities, focus and boundaries to maximize efficiency and workflow. Provide resources and expertise in the manufacturing process, systems, training, and employee relations. Make decisions which prove to be beneficial to the overall running of the production department.
Review and Manage resources to support and instruct the hourly employees daily production activities. Assist in maintaining effective operating departments by controlling activity within prescribed quality standards, production levels, and cost levels, while keeping a focus on safety and manufacturing objectives. Assist in associate development by training and coaching. Maintain acceptable relationships with all and strive to promote teamwork, effective communications, and collaboration.
Promotes safe work habits of subordinates and compliance with safety rules in work areas. Maintains and clean and orderly work environment. Set a good example.
Communicate with team members, supervisors, and management to ensure that shift changes, schedule changes, equipment problems, quality concerns, and safety hazards are managed effectively. Foster an environment that promotes teamwork and inclusion.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Three to Five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
