Overview

Summary

The C1 Structured Cabling Estimator is responsible for working with clients to develop implementation plans, budgets, schedules, products to be used, and if necessary, vendor to engage with.

Responsibilities

Essential Function

• Attend client meetings (on premise and remote)
• Develop plans to meet client goals and objectives including:
  • Budget
  • Schedules, Timelines, and Deadlines
  • Preferences (vendors/products, etc.)
• Attend Design Meetings
• Review RFP, design drawings, and technical documents
• Conduct field reviews and surveys and assist in developing a complete scope of work.
• Provide early and consistent collaboration with all project entities, both internally and externally.
• Develop accurate labor tasks estimating based on scope of work.
• Develop accurate bills of materials estimating based on scope of work.
• Develop design schematic (logical diagrams, elevation drawings, etc.)
• Vetting and managing subcontractors and other partners for labor costs and fulfillment.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with distribution and key manufacturers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge and application of BICSI standards. BICSI RCDD preferred.
• Experience with designing and engineering structured cabling.
• Experience with the application of NEC/OSHA codes
• Familiarity of relevant industry standards and best practices including BICSI, IEEE and TIA/EIA
• Experience with Verkada Physical Security solutions is a plus
• A thorough familiarity with Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documentation
• Collaborator, meticulous, and self-motivated.
• A keen sense of commitment and a desire to work in a deadline-driven environment.
• An eye for detail and strong commitment to quality
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, etc.)
