Overview

Summary

The Manager, Technical Field Service Operations is the primary liaison and manager for the company into the activities performed by the technical field Service Operations team, this includes all superintendents, technicians and subcontractors. The position manages and leads our field operations teams, providing guidance, acting as a technical escalation point and solution finder.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Manages a team of superintendent’s responsible for field supervision.
  • Assigns personnel to projects based on need, skill, availability, etc.
  • Manages the authorization of third party vendors
  • Engages and manages third party vendors and sub contractors
  • Developes and cultivate relationships with manufacturer and distributors.
  • Ensures third party compliance and vendor setup in alignment with reducing outside contractor spend
  • Coordinates and supervises all construction activities
  • Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, subcontractors and other team members
  • Promote, enforce and design job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
  • Ensures all company team members and contractors are adhering to the company safety policies
  • Hire, coach and discipline all field technical resources.
  • Act as technical escalation point, finding solutions by effectively leveraging manufacturer and technical relationships.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • Ability to work varied day and evening timeframes required and ability to daily travel within the greater Los Angeles area
  • Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision and Subcontractor management
  • At least 10 years technical field installation of structured cabling and fiber optic cabling
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects, supervisors and technical field staff such as apprentices and journeymen.
  • Understanding of all applicable ANSI/TIA & ISO/IEC standards Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • At least 5 years of IT Physical Layer project delivery experience managing complex projects focused workplace technology implementation and large construction projects, including design, implementation, structured cabling relocation
  • Experience managing business-critical IT workplace technology projects related such as physical layer design, IT construction project management, cabling infrastructure, A/V integration, physical security, end user relocation and new office build-out
  • Prior professional services or consulting experience managing technology projects
  • At least 5 years of Sales development, quoting, estimating, bidding and scope writing.

  • Prior Sales experience Previous business experience in an administrative capacity

Pay Range

$112,000 - $150,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to base pay.
