Converge HR Solutions is Hiring a Remote Market Research Operations Manager

What they are looking forOur client is looking for a Market Research Operations Manager to lead their day-to-day research operations and support the company’s growth in a dynamic regulatory environment. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish and implement best practices across vendor management, sustainability, quality management, and regulatory/client-mandated compliance. The work location can be fully remote or hybrid in their office in Center City, Philadelphia.The ideal candidate will have experience in the life sciences industry, relevant experience in a market research provider setting, and the desire to make an impact by investigating and introducing new approaches and innovative ideas to improve efficiencies and overall operations of the market research group.What the position will be doing
  • Oversee key areas of their operations including vendor management, ISO 20252 quality standards, regulatory and third-party agreement compliance, and vendor sustainability efforts.
  • Ensure all market research operations and compliance functions within the company are being properly executed.
  • Monitor all active research projects, anticipate & resolve potential problems, and escalate issues to senior management.
  • Manage their recruiting & data collection partners, including performance assessments of existing vendors, vetting and hiring potential new vendors, and building and strengthening key partner relationships.
  • Manage the bid-request process for subcontracted services by selecting potential vendors for new projects based on the sample plan, the target respondent types, and the project scope; sending out bid requests to chosen partners; supporting the cost-estimating process during proposal development.
  • Ensures ISO 20252 quality compliance by implementing their quality management system, identifying opportunities for system improvement, and streamlining the processes.
  • Ensure compliance with the market research industry regulations such as GDPR, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other relevant federal and state laws.
  • Manage external audits of the company’s operations (ISO 20252 quality system, client-mandated cyber security risk assessment).
  • Manage the third-party agreements (TPA) including compliance, monitoring, employee training, and audits.
  • Work closely with the management team to evolve research capabilities & resources to sustain their growth.
  • Keep up with market research industry trends, regulatory and legal frameworks, and technologies used in market research.
  • Work with vendors and partners to drive sustainability efforts within their supply chain to help achieve company’s sustainability goals.
  • Leads the process of third-party assessment of the company’s sustainability initiatives (e.g. EcoVadis assessment and rating).
  • Establish and maintain project templates and provide updates based on feedback and input from the management and research teams.
  • Other general responsibilities as assigned, not requiring materially different skills or competencies.
Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing/supporting vendor-side market research operations, experience in life science market research is a plus.
  • Relentless attention to detail and an obsession with getting things done.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate and collaborate effectively.
  • Good decision-making skills and ability to handle/respond to high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to lead special projects, respond to inquiries promptly, and prepare written/oral briefings.
  • Respect for all you meet and the ability to thrive in a team-based, collaborative environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work and adapt in a complex, dynamic organization.
  • Proactive, communicative, and knows when to escalate appropriately.
  • Able to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources at all levels within and outside the company, including senior management, department leaders, vendors, partners, and peers.
