Our client has provided the greater Philadelphia area with concrete and other building supplies for a very long time. They pride themselves in providing top-notch service to their customers and know that it starts with their employees.

They are currently seeking to hire a full-time Customer Service Associate for their Yard Office. This pivotal position helps customers who come to their facility and assists them with their purchases.

They are critical to creating a friendly and helpful atmosphere for their customers. They also have additional administrative duties that help support the smooth operation of their Yard Office.

The target hourly rate is $22 to $24 per hour with an opportunity for overtime.

About the role

Critical parts of the job

• Receive and process customer orders through their Point of Sale (POS) system
• Provide support to the customer to ensure their satisfaction with their orders
• Replace any sold items as necessary to maintain available inventory. Research and order materials as needed.
• Aid in verifying material pricing and delivered orders
• Coordinate with associates in the yard to confirm customers receive the correct materials
• Operate the scale to weigh outgoing concrete
• Answer the phones, take customer orders, and transfer other calls to the correct departments

This Position will be focused on :

Customer Service you will provide customer support and directly impact the customer experience for the company.

Smooth Operations processing orders, ensuring inventory and material pricing, and coordinating correct orders for customers.

Skills, Education & Abilities

The Must Haves

• Positive attitude and the desire to learn and grow and to be helpful
• Ability to communicate with people in a friendly and courteous manner
• A deep understanding of what it means to be diligent, proactive, dependable, and punctual
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to use and not be afraid of computers, POS systems, and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)

Qualifications

High School Degree, or equivalent

The Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the construction industry
• Knowledge of building materials and being able to make recommendations and how to apply materials
