Position Title: Planner & Scheduler - Unconventional Business

Department: Planning/Supply Chain

Location: Houston, TX

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager (main) & Unconventional Operations Manager (dotted)

Classification: Salaried - Exempt

Position Summary:

Analyze and coordinate material availability, workshop planning and overall efficiency to ensure the delivery process runs as effectively as possible; schedule rental assets in conjunction with Unconventional Operations Manager to ensure utilization of rental assets and refurbishment and availability of same.

  • Release Planned work orders based on MRP to both the machine shop and assembly & test centers in support of sold product (valves) and the creation of new rental assets via AFE / Projects
  • Schedule work orders (WO) using SO due dates / Contractual
  • Monitor schedules (alert set up required), re-schedule WO's accordingly,
  • Manage WO delivery dates using the project schedule,
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain team to ensure any purchased items are available in line with SO need dates. Work with this team to ensure that all planned POs are converted to POs in line with need dates.
  • Manage the forecast delivery date to ensure compliance to contract
  • Monitor and manage planned orders, items not yet firmed but have demand,
  • Participate in the daily production meeting and coordinate deliveries in line with SO need dates, contractual commitments, and revenue targets for the
  • Work with Master Planner to monitor capacity on all work centers in machine shop and assembly & test to ensure level loading and that capacity exists to meet customer
  • Work with Unconventional Operations Manager to schedule the availability of rental assets and the refurbishment of the same, with the goal being to maximize utilization of all rental
  • Perform other work-related tasks, as assigned.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years Planning experience with ERP / MRP
  • Minimum four (4) years experience in assembly, disassembly, refurbishment, testing and
  • Familiar with production planning and workflow
  • Familiar with inventory and warehouse planning, organization, and
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational
  • Experience in dealing with 3rd party
  • Familiar with the oil/gas industry, particularly

Preferred

  • Minimum five (5) years Planning experience with ERP / MRP
  • Familiar with supply chain concepts and
  • Project Management or Project Coordination
  • Formal Project Management
