Contractor Nation is Hiring a Kitchen Helper Near Seymour, CT

Job Summary:

Contractor Nation is seeking a reliable and hardworking part-time Kitchen Helper to assist our Company Chef in preparing and serving food for our staff and occasional company training events. The Kitchen Helper will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring that kitchen is stocked.

What you will do:

  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work, and service areas
  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling/packaging dishes
  • Stock and organize kitchen supplies and ingredients
  • Operate kitchen equipment, such as stovetop/ovens/grills
  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

What you will have:

  • Prior experience working in a kitchen or food service environment (Ixnay preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work mornings to afternoon, some weekends, and company events as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Hourly rate: $18- $22 depending on experience

Flexible schedule:

Monday 6 am- 2 pm

Tuesday 8 am- 1 pm

Thursday 8 am- 1pm

Friday 7 am- 2pm

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
