Full Time Safety Coordinator Needed in the Great State of South CarolinaLocation: Columbia, South Carolina.Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 annually (Based on Experience)Full Benefits, Profit Sharing & 401KMonday – Friday, 1st Shift (Flexible)40hrs/wk. Join us at Contract Lumber, we’re committed to creating a fun, unique opportunity to provide creative solutions to practical challenges within the lumber/Building industry.OpportunityA Contract Lumber Safety Coordinator is responsible for creating, facilitating, and monitoring the safety programs and initiatives. This person will work diligently to ensure employees are following health and safety regulations in an effort to eliminate workplace illness/injury and better promote the well-being for our team. Bilingual speakers a plus, but not a must (English/Spanish). A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.Day to Day
Regularly inspects and ensures that all building operations and work processes are being performed while using safe job practices
Ensures all employees are properly using protective equipment at all times
Leads all on-site accident investigations and provides corrective action as necessary
Maintains accurate OSHA 300 log and other required reports in accordance with guidelines
Trains new and existing employees on how to properly handle and adhere to safety requirements while operating tools, equipment, machinery, etc.
Analyzes and identifies trends within incident reports, and use findings to make appropriate changes that will promote a safer work environment
Maintains appropriate communication with management team
Performs other duties as required (i.e. travel to other sites to support safety initiatives)

Skill Set
Great Attitude and a Team Player
OSHA 30, 500/501 certifications required.
OSHA 510 and/or 511 certifications preferred.
Knowledge of construction safety, current Federal and OSHA requirements
Bilingual strongly preferred (English/Spanish)
Previous experience in safety first operations
Building materials or construction industry knowledge is a plus
Ability to professionally communicate with all organizational levels
Computer skills and knowledgeable about software including Microsoft applications (i.e., Outlook, Teams, etc…)
