Landscape Crew Maintenance-FL Region

Position Summary

Maintain multiple commercial landscape sites under the guidance of an Operations Manager and/or Crew Lead. Responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding a business or building. Perform various landscaping/grounds care functions; such as mowing, trimming, pruning and bed care.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as; power or riding lawnmower, string trimmer, edger etc.
• Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.
• Remove weeds and dead plants; prune overgrown limbs and leaves.
• Use leaf blower to clear walkways and pedestrian areas after lawn maintenance
• Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, or other grounds features.
• Properly store and handle all equipment, tools, gear, etc.
• Report all site issues to appropriate supervisor in a timely manner.

Education, Experience and Skills Required

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent educational experience.
• Previous landscaping and lawn care experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Can follow directions and be a productive part of a small crew.
• Knowledge of basic outdoor/lawn equipment.
• Punctuality and dependability is expected.
• Able to work independently

Physical Demand Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift for long periods of time

Other Requirements

• Must be able to pass the preemployment background check/MVR and drug screen
• Must have proficient team building skills
• Highly motivated and organized
• Bilingual preferred
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have valid driver license
