The Landfill Gas Environmental Technician duties will include, but are not limited to:
· Operate and monitoring of landfill gas extraction wells on the landfill’s GCCS
· Flare/Blower station operations and monitoring
· GCCS condensate management
· Surface emissions monitoring and reporting
· Explosive gas monitoring and reporting
· Landfill GCCS operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing
· Pneumatic pump maintenance including removal of pumps, inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair
· Operate site vehicles and equipment, including pickup trucks, and smaller equipment
· Non-Routine construction repairs or maintenance including HDPE pipe fusion
· Travel to locations of landfills including overnight travel
Position Requirements:
· Valid drivers license
· Ability to walk long distances
· Ability to work in all weather conditions
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently
· Ability to work well with other technicians on a small crew or team
· Basic computer skills, including Microsoft excel, word, and outlook
· Excellent communication skills
