ResponsibilitiesProvides nursing care according to the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementing and evaluating. Implements appropriate nursing care interventions. Administers medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established nursing policies and procedures. Care provided is based on defined standards of patient care and nursing evidence-based practice.

Required Licensure and Certifications | Current RN license In the State of Kentucky. BLS required. |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Must have critical thinking skills and ability to assess changes in patient condition and take appropriate action. Adequate knowledge of current nursing practice and theory. Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills according to area of assignment. Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines, and organizational policies. Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Also, be able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deliver successful results. Demonstrated computer management skills. Considerable knowledge of computer applications. Proficiency with clinical documentation system in use at facility. |
