This temporary position will average 20 hours per week and require up to 3 days in person. It will be based out of the Henry Ford Health corporate office.

The mission of the Generation with Promise (GWP) program is: Move more. Eat better. Change lives!

General Summary/Responsibilities:

• Research educational material on food systems and nutrition, physical activity, health and wellness and aligning GWP PSE opportunities with department strategic plans.
• Conduct presentations and develop leadership skills.
• Engage with GWP staff, assist with Youth Wellness Ambassador (YWA) summer programming, facilitating and other health education at community events.
• Demonstrate a basic knowledge of nutrition and healthy eating, and the importance of physical activity, Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) and youth engagement practices.
• Learn about and promote policy, systems, and environmental change related to physical activity and nutrition, social justice, community benefit agreement collaboration and cultural responsiveness.
• Support developing updated Youth Wellness Ambassador (YWA) Alumni contact information database.
• Assist with the coordination of the YWA summer event.
