Continental is Hiring a Team Leader Final End Team 4 Near Norfolk, NE

Job Description

Only Current Full Time Continental employees at the Continental Plant in Norfolk Nebraska will be considered for this position. 
Embrace Continental Business Systems implementing continuous improvement every day by:

  • Safety: Improve safety performance, including, but not limited to, assist with accident/near-miss/first aid investigations and/or reports within 12-hours. 
  • Human Development: Associate development for increased responsibilities and management of the area/indicators. Evaluate performance of teams/individuals provide constructive feedback. Positive counseling/coaching will be administered under the guidance of the Production Manager and/or Human Resources.
  • Quality: Meet specification requirements for the product and following defined quality system requirements (work instructions, standard work, auditing). Improving indicators and ensure teams and individuals understand and follow procedures.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Meet customer daily demand and production schedule. Deliver good product quality to their internal/external customer.
  • Cost: Day-to-day management of labor utilization, WIP, waste, and efficiencies associated with meeting customer demand.
  • Production: Support the efforts to improve efficiencies in area of responsibility.
  • 6S: Conduct activities to maintain and improve the housekeeping standards.
  • Facilitate quick response to customer problems.
  • Maintains plant balance through monitoring of production boards and responding to gaps.
  • Conducts standard process checks, aligns as needed and delivers feedback.
  • Maintains effective communication and cooperation with all team members, process areas and support groups.
  • Develop and support point role reps., including alignment of tasks to point role reps. (i.e. involve safety rep. in investigations)
  • Develop and support High Performance Teams
  • Work with teams to implement continuous improvement and solicit feedback that enhance changes.
  • Other tasks as required

Qualifications

It is important to point out that you are not "bidding" on this job. The selection process will be based on an Interview & matrix satisfying the minimum requirements, selection criteria & qualifications. and depending on the number of applicants candidates will go to an Assessment Center for the final selection of the Final End Team Leader.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Not in Positive Counseling
  • Have satisfactory attendance in the past 12 months.
  • Been involved in a plant function in the past 5 years. (Point Role, TTL, Task Forces, Volunteer Work, etc.)
  • Have basic keyboarding skills with working knowledge of Excel & Word
  • Flexibility in hours is required, (T/L may be required to come in before shift start time).
  • 3 or more years of experience in Final End or 2 years of leadership experience, internal or external. Time in point role positions will be considered toward 2 years of experience

BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must currently be employed as a Continental full time employee at the Continental Norfolk Nebraska plant
