Job Overview:

The Driver Warehouseperson will support our East Coast Operation Fleet Services Group. The ideal candidate will have recent and relevant experience gained while performing duties as a Driver Warehouseperson at a Technical Services Industry organization. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, GED or industrial school certificate, ability to secure a DBIDS Security Credential and a valid State of Virginia Driver’s License.

Essential Experience & Responsibilities:

  • Ø Driver Warehouseperson Duties
    • Car driver's license and clean driving record
    • Ensuring finished goods, parts, and equipment are properly received and delivered to their correct locations.
    • Loads and unloads gang boxes.
    • Must be able to safely load products onto or from delivery vehicles, pallets, etc.
    • Perform packing duties in an efficient manner.
    • Maintain the shop in a clean and orderly fashion.

(Basic organization/cleaning)

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close visions, distance visions, color visions, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Current forklift license or experience driving forklift.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving processes, unload trucks and check in merchandise.
  • Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials, packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Sort and place materials or items of racks, shelves or in bin according to organizational standards.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Prepare parcels for mailing.
Experience and Skills:
  • Ø General Duties
    • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience
    • Candidate must be able to walk, stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, stretch, reach, squat, and twist.
    • Must be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes. The exact weight requirements will be determined by the specific job, but no less than 30 lbs.
    • Basic MS Office skills
    • Reliability and capacity for Teamwork
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Able to perform other duties as required which may involve high heat, humidity, noise and dirty conditions, working aloft or over the sides of vessels.
    • May require wearing a respirator.
    • Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperature environments, aboard ships, in shipyards, under industrial conditions and in confined spaces.
    • o Detailed-oriented Reliable Punctual Organized Strong Communication Skills

Experience and Skills

Requirements include:

  • Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be prompt and dependable.
  • Two (2) years’ experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with using Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and a US Citizen.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
