Continental Resources is Hiring a Remote Production Foreman (Monahans Tx)
Job Summary The Production Foreman coordinates the day-to-day operations of Production Personnel within an assigned area and is responsible for the effective and economical installation, operation and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities. This position will report to the Production Superintendent and will have working knowledge of production operations. Supervises, directs, and coordinates field hourly employees, non-technical exempt employees, and/or contractors. Responsible for a small to medium size geographical area, and a narrow breadth of responsibility within their area of responsibility. Accountable for the results of a team or function’s performance. Recommends and collaborates with senior management to resolve strategic issues. Advanced knowledge in own area of functional responsibility and operational knowledge of related work groups. Applies processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions; decisions affect mid- to long-term operational results. Frequently interacts with functional peer managers. Provides leadership and guidance to address departmental or functional objectives or changes in objectives. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain compliance with company HSE policies and demonstrate the ability to respond quickly and confidently to safety and environmental events. Requires the operation of Company vehicles. Must drive safely to and from wells and well sites, maintain a clean driving record and adhere to Company policies. Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist. Identify opportunities for improvement in production, cost efficiencies, and/or problem areas (i.e., parted rods, electrical issues, chemical use, etc.) and take necessary action. Supervise company and contract lease operators including managing schedules and routes to ensure adequate coverage. Oversee the activity of contractors performing well service, lease maintenance, swabbing rigs, flow back operations, and work-over operations. Monitor system pressures on wells, flow lines, gas and oil sales, shipping lines, and saltwater transfer lines. Supervise construction of production facilities, pipeline installations, and artificial lift equipment Responsible for achieving optimal performance of flowing/ pumping wells and saltwater disposal wells. Monitor alarms and production through XSPOC and Cygnet Code and approve invoices in Open Invoice in a timely manner. Review oil, gas, and water production in Evin and Carte Complete and enter daily WellView and Siteview reports. Develop and maintain positive relationships with government officials, landowners, and third-party contractors. Provide input and participate in researching candidates, interviewing, and making offer requests for lease operator candidates. Responsible for training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work for direct reports. Complete performance appraisals and establish yearly goals for lease operators. Proficient computer skill, including Microsoft Excel Required Qualifications High School Diploma, or general education degree (GED) Minimum of Ten (10) years related experience with field operations. Valid Driver’s License Ability to pass a fit test. Due to the known H2S concentration in our area of Permian operations, Monahan's/Permian Basin field employees are subject to being in our respiratory protection program which will require them to be shaven to the OSHA respiratory protection specifications, complete a medical evaluation and be fit tested annually to the type of respirator that they will be responsible for wearing. An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test. Physical Requirements Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time. Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers. Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance. Regular bending, crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges. Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects. Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities. Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous Chemicals, and Hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
