Continental Resources is Hiring a Remote Construction Tech II

Job Summary The Construction Tech is responsible for supporting the coordination, execution, cost effectiveness, and timeliness of various civil wellsite construction projects related to the drilling of oil and gas wells. This role reports directly to the Senior Construction Foreman. Performs a range of straightforward assignments. Contributes to tasks or projects within a team, function, or work group. Practical working knowledge of a technical or specialty area. Exercises independent judgment in accordance with policies, procedures, techniques, relying on limited experience to plan and accomplish work. Works under a moderate level of supervision Duties and Responsibilities Meets with surface owners as needed to discuss technical aspects and impacts from CTB sites and ROW for flowlines. Responsible for supervising pipeline CTB construction projects, upgrades and compressor station rebuilds. Coordinates and works closely with CLR Right of Way staff, both direct and contract. Consults with and provides direction to contract surveyors as required to lay CTB and flowline ROW for the best possible outcome from both a surface and downhole standpoint. Ensure that wellsite construction work meets all applicable laws rules and regulations. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure overall project success for all involved. Works with various regulatory agencies to ensure proper siting and construction of well sites. Prepares scope of work for construction projects and coordinates bid execution with Supply Chain Management. Prepares daily progress and cost expenditure site view reports related to this scope of work. Reviews, codes and approves all invoices and billings associated with this work. Expected to keep CLR’s best interests in mind, and always acts in an ethical manner representing CLR in a positive light. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR. Ability to pass a fit test. An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, stoop, walk, carry instruments, climb ladders and navigate tank stairs. Occasional bending, crouching, pulling and kneeling to check equipment and gauges, open and close valves and supervise repairs. Ability to lift up to (20 pounds) without assistance. Ability to one arm carry up to (10 pounds) without assistance. Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects. Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities. Daily driving of approximately 90 miles or more as required completing assigned jobs and/or repairs. Exposure to and driving in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, sun, rain, hail, sleet, high winds, etc. to inspect and evaluate equipment and locations. Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required. Working with moving machinery/equipment parts for which extreme caution must be taken. The ability to inspect and have close visual acuity to perform activities. The ability to perform fine manipulation with hands and fingers.
