ROLE PROFILE 

The Event Service Execution Intern will be successful when: 

They develop a diversified skillset in service and an overall enhanced event knowledge by rotating through different yacht departments and ultimately managing their own event. 

This internship allows those who have a specific passion for event execution to immerse themselves in all aspects of that process through Continental’s event execution life cycle; rotating through Service (Serving & Bartending), Culinary, Deck Crew; including leading a special employee engagement project, shadowing Event Managers, and leading a small event with management support. 

What You'll Do


DAILY OPERATIONS

  • Train with Cruise Directors to understand how to prepare for an event, set-up an event, execute an event, and complete an event profile 

  • Step out of your comfort zone by giving the required safety speech to the guests on your charter. 

  • Cross train with all departments: culinary, bar, deck crew, floor, design/decor 

  • Train with Culinary to learn menu items and culinary daily operations

  • Ensure quality standards are met and event timelines followed

  • Actively engage in the training and development

  • Provide remarkable service to all guests including internal teammates 

  • Be an ambassador for the company by fulfilling all dress code policies and presenting a polished, professional look.

  • Attend Crew Drills 

  • Attend training workshops

  • Ensuring guest safety by assisting guests on the yacht.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE 

  • Enrolled and/or in pursuit of a collegiate education 

  • Completed a Level one internship or other internship experience

  • Strong organizational skills 

  • Positive attitude and the willingness to work with all facets and levels of management
