A Day in the Life as a Sales Trainee

As a Sales Trainee, you will be responsible for supporting the branch Director and contribution to the success of the sales team for Continental Girbau West (CGW) with a special focus on lead development and management. Job functions include learning and supporting sales administration by rotating through multiple sales office functions and observing the sales process by assisting sales personnel. The Sales Trainee position will develop a pathway to outside sales and territory responsibility, leading to territory management.

Other responsibilities may include:

• Assisting the Director on sales support roles and sales opportunities
• Managing and responding to leads and inside sales
• Qualifying leads through established system and protocol for end-users
• Participating in field travel with the Director and sales personnel that may include sales calls, trade shows, field sales training seminars, etc.
• Working with internal teams to learn the functionality of each department and our products/equipment
• Learning from allied trade partners

What You Need

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, such as management, marketing, sales, communication, or finance
• 3 years in related field, in lieu of a degree
• Strong communication skills
• Strong project/time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently on projects
• Detail-oriented
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to engage in a continuous learning process
